Questions about the Health Access Cooperative
Are my preexisting conditions covered by the Health Access Cooperative?
Any medical conditions that exist prior to your enrollment are subject to a phase-in period as described in the member booklet. If you have questions about a specific pre-existing condition, join us on one of our educational webinars or get in touch.
How can I speak to a real person?
Health Access Cooperative is a member owned organization, so we are always glad to help out a fellow member. Click here to access a page dedicated to member resources, from there reach out by the phone number listed, send an email, or text to get assistance.
What happens when I turn 65?
Cooperative membership ends at age 65. If you are approaching age 65, you should get started with your Medicare enrollment, so there is no break in protection for you.
We’re not affiliated with Connie Health but find that they are a great resource with lots of helpful content surrounding Medicare.
Is there a prescription card?
Yes, members have access to a program called Drexi. It’s a fantastic resource for getting low prices on medications.
Drexi, but members learn that shopping around can save you money on your medications. In addition to Drexi members frequently check GoodRX, Pharmacy Checker, and others to make sure they’re getting the best prices.
What if I move or my work situation changes?
You have choices to consider. The Health Access Cooperative accepts members in all 50 states.
Many people who take a new job see that their employer contributes to their health benefits cost but not that of their family, making it very expensive to add a spouse or children. One route is for you to take the health benefits that your new company offers, but keep your dependents on the Health Access Plus Prime program.
If you are leaving the area where Next Level clinics are located (currently, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Beaumont, and surrounding regions), you can simply drop the Prime membership and remain as a member of the Cooperative.
Or, you can cancel your Health Access Plus Prime membership completely.
Please get in touch to discuss your situation and we’d be glad to help you weigh out all the options.
Is there a long term commitment?
Membership is month-to-month, so you can leave anytime
Is there an Open Enrollment window?
No, you’re free to join at any time. All memberships start on the 1st day of the month following when you enroll. For example, if you enrolled on March 13th, you would become active on April 1st.
What network do I have to use?
Your care at Next Level Prime is at no cost to you for all included services. However if you need to seek “higher level care” of some kind, the short answer is you don’t have a network. You’re free to use whichever providers you’d like.
If you need assistance finding a high quality provider, get in touch and we’d be more than happy to help.
